This is a horror interpretation of the Three Fates, or Moirai, from Greek mythology. The ancient Moirai are chained in the center of a large domed tomb where they spin the thread of life, measure it, and end it when the time is right. They can see what is, was, and will be with their lidless eyes. Every now and then, they are approached by ancient heroes bargaining for knowledge. If they can reach an accord, the fates bleed the blood of prophecy from their jaw-less heads. Their large tongues taste this prophecy and visions are put to words.
